[03 Dec 2019] And here's some good news: Caroline Rowland (MPI Nijmegen) and Nick Enfield (U Sydney) have agreed to join our Editorial Board, starting in 2020. We are very proud and happy to have them on board!
[03 Dec 2019] Some sad news: The two previous editors of the journal, Wolfgang Klein and Johan van der Auwera, have decided to step down from their editorial responsibilities at the end of this year. Wolfgang Klein served as the Editor-in-chief from 1983 to 2005, and he has been a member of the Editorial Board since then. Johan van der Auwera was a member of the Editorial Board from 2003 to 2005. He succeeded Wolfgang Klein as the Editor-in-chief in 2005 and served this office until 2018. As he generously offered to handle all articles submitted during his term (i.e., before 2019), has has been far from idle this year, officially as a member of the Board of Consulting Editors. I think we all, as a community of linguists, owe both of these eminent scholars a great debt of gratitude for what they have done for the field. We will think of appropriate ways of honouring them.
